PROJECT OVERVIEW
Inspired were asked to review a Xero & simPRO build for a client who was considering scrapping both programs twelve months into their journey. Management agreed to the move with the best intentions but found staff had continued with their legacy software and were doubling up the management of the business with both the old and new programs. A common reason for cloud technology not working for some businesses is that staff do not have time to take up the initiatives and management does not have time to ensure the new systems are bedded in.
Inspired identified this and proposed to re-engineer the move. This would entail migrating the accounting information of accounts data again to Xero and assisting with the change to simPRO. Inspired provides the population as well as training on Xero for key staff and on this occasion reviewed the areas that the client was struggling with in simPRO.
Developing the solution
Once the gaps were identified Inspired provided a combination of specialised training with simPRO staff and training from an accounting and reporting perspective by Inspired staff. Inspired worked with the client to identify a “go live” date where the client would be aiming to be utilising both simPRO and Xero without relying on the back up of their legacy systems.
Once the client had reached the “go live” date, the client was well prepared for the operational changes and Inspired was on hand to provide advice and assistance with any issues that came up. Within a three month period of assistance, the client had moved off the legacy system and had 100% uptake of both Xero and simPRO.
A GREAT RESULT
The transition enabled the client to move their business forward and saved the company time and money through increased efficiency. Inspired also went on to provide an ongoing bookkeeping and CFO advisory package to ensure the client was getting the most out of both simPRO and Xero.
